I have had 2 sets, one in our prior home, in an undercounter arrangement in the kitchen and one currently in our bathroom. Good reliability. Those combo units are common in Europe as houses generally aren't as spacious as American properties.
My experience with them is the washer is fine, but the dryer is marginally usable. The dryer capacity is quite limited and not very energy efficient either. It would be fine if you normally used a clothesline but wanted a backup for occasional use A wash and dry cycle probably takes about 4 hours in a combo machine--and you would need lots of loads if you have much laundry to do.
If you are interested in putting in a washer and dryer under the counter, you need to get the appliance specs before moving the water, drain and vent as each unit has the connections in different places. You can get rigid dryer vent piping because it is an absolute pain to try to connect flexible venting and then slide the dryer back into place without crimping or disconnecting the vent while moving the unit into place.
That may be doable from the top, but you'll have to have access without the countertop in place - as well as making friends with your favorite neighborhood basketball player to find someone able to reach down far enough. The new unit had short plastic basically stubs for rear feet with very limited height adjustment. In front there were threaded bolt type feet. Like others on this thread I searched for longer replacement feet - no luck. My solution was to make raised sleds from scrap wood for the rear and new longer carriage bolts adding rubber feet to the bottom similar to stJohnson's suggestion. I waxed the surface of the rear sleds to make it easier to slide the range back into place.
