I have had 2 sets, one in our prior home, in an undercounter arrangement in the kitchen and one currently in our bathroom. Good reliability. Those combo units are common in Europe as houses generally aren't as spacious as American properties.

My experience with them is the washer is fine, but the dryer is marginally usable. The dryer capacity is quite limited and not very energy efficient either. It would be fine if you normally used a clothesline but wanted a backup for occasional use A wash and dry cycle probably takes about 4 hours in a combo machine--and you would need lots of loads if you have much laundry to do.

If you are interested in putting in a washer and dryer under the counter, you need to get the appliance specs before moving the water, drain and vent as each unit has the connections in different places. You can get rigid dryer vent piping because it is an absolute pain to try to connect flexible venting and then slide the dryer back into place without crimping or disconnecting the vent while moving the unit into place.

That may be doable from the top, but you'll have to have access without the countertop in place - as well as making friends with your favorite neighborhood basketball player to find someone able to reach down far enough. Or, consider putting the cabinet next to the dryer on hidden wheels so you can slide it out like a fridge to access the back of the laundry units. We bought a new range for our modest vacation house.

The new unit had short plastic basically stubs for rear feet with very limited height adjustment. In front there were threaded bolt type feet. Like others on this thread I searched for longer replacement feet - no luck. My solution was to make raised sleds from scrap wood for the rear and new longer carriage bolts adding rubber feet to the bottom similar to stJohnson's suggestion. I waxed the surface of the rear sleds to make it easier to slide the range back into place.

Here's a picture of the new stove before I corrected the height to bring it into line with the countertop and a picture of the sled shims I made from scrap wood. I forgot to take a picture after leveling the range. I'll add one Later. Kitchen Counter Height taller than 36" Q. It probably won't be an issue once everything is installed. Installed my cabinets are higher than might be normal because my floors are so high - self leveling plus cork plus plywood plus wood I only discovered it because the space between my upper cabinets and counter turned out to be slightly less than what I had anticipated which meant that a side door had to be reconfigured - rolling problems that got resolved.

I am on the short side and the height of the counter is finer prepping - FWIW, I have granite with a mitered edge. In reality, I had my bathroom sinks done with the new higher height that is now default and those make me feel like a child again who is just on the cusp of needing a stool to wash her face Like 3 Save. Cut holes in the side of the sink base cabinet to run the hose connections from the appliance to underneath the sink, and attach them to the newly tapped lines.

Slide the appliance in place, making sure there is at least one inch of clearance on both sides and sufficient clearance in the back. Connect the discharge hose and water hoses to the washer dryer in one. If the hot and cold water faucets are beneath the countertop, attach the water hoses before inserting the washer under the counter. Ensure that you have sufficient mobility so you can use pliers to tighten the hose couplings to the faucet threads.

Similarly, attach the dryer vent and the electrical cord or gas fittings before you insert the dryer. Some washers and dryers are too tall to fit under standard countertops. Opt for a small washer and dryer, such as a variety that has a capacity between 2 and 2. Otherwise, you'll have to raise your countertops to fit over your appliances. Check with the level again, repeat by placing a plastic shim under each foot as necessary. If your washing machine shakes, moves, vibrates, or walks it is most likely because your washing machine is not placed on perfectly level ground and becomes unbalanced and wobbly as the heavy laundry whirls through its.

The cabinet in front of the machine comes off to allow access to the machine for maintenance. Read the full article first. As washer however, requires a 2 drain because the entire load of water is pumped directly into the standpipe.

Well this is how i level out stuff like that. An unbalanced washing machine can sound downright violent rattling and shaking in your laundry room. The best way to pull a washing machine out, is to open the door and get hold of the door opening at the top of the door seal. However there are bars and extra feet supplied which can be bolted to the underneath of the washer to raise the height to between to mm.

The countertop under the washing machine, the machine in the bathroom should place the entire body of the washing machine under itself. On your level the bubble will move to the side that is too high. Install the dryer first you will be able to connect vent hose, than install the washer. Measure from the laser line to the four points where the feet of the washing machine will rest on the floor.
