Which stinks. I can only recommend now that you look into cloning using a bootable drive. It recreates an exact bootable copy of your HD, and it is one handy thing to have around. I made one before going to SL and it saved me from what you have to do now. SL ran very poorly for me too and I had to go back to Just for the info I had to do a complete erase and install to get SL to run acceptably. Now I go back and forth between the two.

Bikegirl, you also have the option of waiting for the next upgrade of SL to see if that makes any major changes for you. But a good back up is the key,.. Time Machine is good, but for me with stuff like this, Clones are so much better.
